Chawan made in raku technique, with reduction, so it has additional reflections. Shades of gray, gold and silver mirrors. Crackles all over the surface. On the bottom, rough glaze inside. Signed underneath with author's stamp.
Maciej Szczypka
Visual artist, ceramicist and designer. Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw in the Product Design Studio under Prof. Władysław Dolatowski at the Faculty of Interior Design and Industrial Design, an annex in the painting studio under Prof. Marian Wolczuk. He completed the Pedagogical Study at the Academy of Fine Arts. He is a member of the Association of Polish Artists. He has participated in many exhibitions and art actions. Works, among others, in the collections of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in Warsaw, ARSENAŁ Historical Museum in Wroclaw, BWA in Jelenia Gora, Tashiding Monastery in Sikkim, northern India, Boleslawiec Cultural Center, Lorenzweiler City Hall in Luxembourg and in private collections and galleries around the world. He runs the INteGRACE Gallery, participates in symposiums on art and realizes original happenings. He received the Award of the Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw for his artwork "Permeation" exhibited at the exhibition Other Media. Conducted Author's Creative Workshops in the Education Department of the Bureau of Art Exhibitions for groups of all ages. At Studio RAKU, his studio in Wroclaw, he makes original ceramics in the Japanese raku technique.
