80x100, acrylic on canvas, 2020
Izabela (Copiza) Dąbrowska - born in 1987 in Blachownia, a town near Częstochowa. Since 2007 she has been living and creating in Wroclaw. In 2012 she graduated from the University of Wroclaw with a degree in Germanic philology with a specialization in cultural studies. However, communing with culture was still not enough for her. Passion and the desire to express herself through her beloved art pushed Izabella into the arms of another Alma Mater - this time the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, where she completed postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Painting and Sculpture in the studio of Professor Leszek Mickos. In 2017, she and her friends formed an artistic collective, composed of graduates of the Wroclaw Academy of Fine Arts - the Hidden Group, of which she is still an active member. The main themes of her work are female nudes, nature and situational motifs, where she fondly combines geometric solids with figurative figures of people and animals. Technically, her paintings are characterized by vivid and bold colors, and her favorite technique is acrylic on canvas.
