Karina Gora is an artist born in 1973 in Tomaszow Mazowiecki. She received her Master of Arts degree from the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, in the cello class of Prof. R. Suchecki. As a postgraduate, she graduated with honors in directing from the State Higher School of Theatre Arts in Wroclaw. She collaborated with the creator of Scena Plastyczna Prof. L. Mądzik in the play "The Source", P. Passini in the play "Important Window.Hommage for Maria Stangret". Director of the jazz and poetry project "My Sweet European Homeland" Komeda/Ptaszyn Wroblewski Sextet starring A. Seweryn at the 4th Love Polish Jazz Festival.
She developed her painting skills under the tutelage of lecturers at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz. Her inspiration comes from plastic theater, movement and dance theater and the paintings of J. Malczewski, S. Wyspianski, E. Schiele. Close to her heart are Symbolism, Art Nouveau and Pre-Raphaelite fairy tales. Context and detail comment on reality.
Emotional women's faces are enriched by the gaze, in which mood can be found. The color reflects the vibrant life full of affection, energy and vitality of the figures looking at the outside world from a distance. The deep gaze with clearly defined eyes gives a sense of dialogue with the viewer. Her works add originality to the interior. They are a pretext for searching for answers to the questions "Where did we come from? Who are we? Where are we going?"- P.Gauguin.
