Monika Solorz - a graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw. She completed her diploma in the studio of Prof. Andrzej Klimczak-Dobrzaniecki in 2000. She has had several solo exhibitions /Wroclaw, Warsaw/ and many group exhibitions /Wroclaw, Warsaw, London, Chicago, Strasbourg, Vilnius, Wiesbaden/. Her works are in private collections at home and abroad.
Her painting is contemporary graffiti, street art, collage. It is a contemporary poster refined by painterly techniques, texture, scratching, showing layers of paper piled up in piles of color. It's a very modern aesthetic inspired by Basquiat, Baselitz, Bacon.
