Urbańczyk Wojciech "Lato '19"
120x80, acrylic on canvas, 2019
Born in 1986 in Piotrkow Trybunalski, Poland. Master of Arts, diploma defended in 2011. He works in easel painting, his specialties are nudes, portraits and cityscapes. In the past, he was actively involved in graffiti and street-art circles, and above all specialized in the stencil technique. Today he transfers these skills to the canvas using acrylic paints and brush. He is constantly experimenting in his work, placing a primary focus on technique.
His works express a personal rebellion against computer graphics, as confirmed by one of his statements: "I deliberately mislead the viewer, force him to answer the question, where is the line between graphics and painting? For me, it is my brain that is the processor, my hand the cursor, and my eye the filter."
